Welcome to A Passage in Time, formerly known as Got Genealogy? If this is your first visit, I would like to welcome you with open arms. If you have been here before, welcome back. I have tried hard to make a page that is not only appealing, but also contains the most accurate information possible. I hope that you find something here that interests you.
I started tracing my family history when I was 11 years old as part of a church project. Since that time, I have been hooked. I enjoy tracing my family history and work very hard to make sure that information that I receive is proven with at least one source, more if available. Even though I would love to put up scanned images of my proof, there is only so much server space available on this site, so I am limited to putting up text versions of the proof. However, I do provide the full source and call number of where I was able to ascertain the information so that you could easily get a copy on your own. I am also very willing to provide copies if you should find something here that is beneficial to your own research. Please use the email link above to contact me.
I would like for you to make note that the only vital information of living people that you will find on this site is that of me, my husband and my children. The only other vital information on living individuals contained on this site has been posted here with their permission and/or request. I do NOT provide vital information on anyone else who is still living. This is out of respect for their privacy. Family History is after all the pursuit of our ancestors, not living people.
I have in the past, been contacted by people asking if I would put information on their ancestor on this website. I will gladly do that, however, please bear in mind that I am mostly researching my direct lines. So, if there is information that you would like me to add to this site that pertains to one of your ancestors and it is not one of my direct ancestors, please feel free to send it to me and I will gladly post it with a link on how people researching that person can contact you.
This site has many, many links. So, if you find yourself getting lost, please always use the home link to come back to this page. All of the areas of my site are listed in the navigational menu on the top. If you should happen to click on a link and get an error message, please contact me so that I can fix it. I'm always working on this site and will be adding more as time permits. It is my hope that my website is an enjoyable place and that you may have a nice experience while you are here.
